COACHING

60 min sessions available online

Bridge into the Woods

Tessa walks alongside you on your healing path. She brings her education, training, and experience to support you in a process of co-creation. Through the arts of: Internal Family Systems Therapy (aka "parts-work" "inner-child work" "reparenting"), ritual, validation, intuition, somatic awareness, nervous system regulation, metaphor, poetry, motivation, curiosity , "talk-and-track", and "loving-spacious-awareness" Tessa compassionately guides you home to a more authentic, clear, integrated, and embodied sense of Self.

SESSION STRUCTURE
Coaching sessions are organized into four key parts...

LISTEN

We begin by acknowledging your intention for the session while noticing what is present for you in the moment.

CLARIFY

Through introspection, inquiry and active listening we discover what feels important, what is asking for attention, and what is feeling unresolved.

EXPLORE

We slow down and ground to notice: bodily sensations, impulses, tension, ease, emotions, images, or shifts in thought and attention. The body becomes a valuable source of information about present moment experiences as well as deeper patterns of clinging and avoidance. We sit with what is emerging to understand what the experience might mean in the context of your needs, values, relationships, patterns, and choices. We make connections with curiosity rather than assuming there is only one correct or clinical interpretation.

INTEGRATE

We bring this experience into everyday life by considering how what you've noticed and learned might inform the way you live. This could mean taking a small step, trying a different response, establishing a boundary, practicing something new, allowing time for an experience to settle, remaining curious, engaging in a ritual, focusing on an intention/goal, receiving the inspiration of an oracle card, or even deciding to wait to make a decision until you have more clarity or capacity.

CURRENT OFFERINGS

SOMATICS

A coaching relationship focused on embodiment, regulation, awareness, habits, boundaries, and living more comfortably in one's body.

INTEGRATION

A place to process personal experiences, significant life events, and challenges in the context of your morals, values, and beliefs. From this deeper and more integrated awareness, we establish an intention or plan to bring forth this new awareness in everyday life.

INTERNAL FAMILY SYSTEMS (IFS)

The traditional Internal Family Systems therapy model. Great for folks that want to learn the basic building blocks of IFS for self-led parts-work. First, clients learn the history, vocabulary, and framework of the IFS model. Then, clients learn how to recognize and befriend their exiles and protector parts. Finally, by working to understand parts' roles and responsibilities in the inner system clients learn how to approach parts with curiosity, and to establish boundaries that support greater choice and self-leadership. Great for folks that like to work at their own pace with official IFS books and workbooks. Occasional check-in sessions are encouraged for support.

SOMATIC IFS

90 minute session minimum, prerequisite 2- IFS Coaching Sessions

An integration of the traditional IFS therapy model and somatic practices from Polarity and Hakomi therapies. Clients come with a particular part, memory, and intention in mind to work with. We use "talk and track" methods to explore the experience of your parts. Over time, after repeated experiences and regular practice, clients are able to rebuild right relationship with their internal system, garnering more Self energy from which to integrate the experiences of a part/s into a greater sense of wholeness and ease.

PARTS IN RECOERY

A facilitated, long-range, journey through a structured process of applying the IFS model to a recovery framework. Through this process, clients first learn to identify parts of themselves that are living out extreme roles or behaviors. Then, through diligent practice of self-care and loving curiosity clients rebuild the inherent qualities of the Self (calm, curiosity, connection, confidence, creativity, clarity, courage, and compassion) in order to repair trust and right relationship with past parts of ourselves. With an increased capacity for self-leadership, clients eventually externalize the work of IFS to repair ruptures and restore right relationships with others, out in the world.

COACHING IS...

a non-pathologizing education and support service designed to help clients develop greater body awareness, self-understanding, self-regulation, and practical strategies for navigating life with greater health and wellness. In coaching we explore patterns and protective responses, values, boundaries and decision-making to create reasonable habits and sustainable changes in behavior.

COACHING IS NOT...

psychotherapy, medical treatment, or crisis care. Coaching does not pathologize, diagnose, or treat mental-health conditions.
