knowledge is power

TRAUMA-INFORMED | MINDFULNESS-BASED

Tessa is a strong advocate for trauma-informed care and she clearly centers this ethic in her practice. Striving to provide a safe space for all, Tessa is open to and deeply considerate of feedback related to safety, comfort, and accessibility.

Tessa holds a B.A. in Psychology from The Evergreen State College, where she studied East/West Psychology, Theories of Wellbeing, Education, and Systems Change. While Tessa does not currently offer psychotherapy or counseling, she does bring her expertise in these fields to her bodywork via client education and guided-awareness in session.

In 2018 Tessa graduated from the 600 hour massage therapy program at Bodymechanics School of Myotherpy & Massage where, in addition to the basics, she learned medical massage modalities intended for the treatment of accident, injury and trauma.

Tessa is passionate about social justice, mental health awareness, and embodying & encouraging the spirit of total acceptance.  Her rich history of both lived and academic experience with trauma and PTSD make Tessa a likely match for folks who experience suffering via PTSD, anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue, chronic pain, GI complications. She particularly loves offering hands-on therapeutic interventions for those burdened by the effects of trauma in our community.
