Tessa is a strong advocate for trauma-informed care and she clearly centers this ethic in her practice. Striving to provide a safe space for all, she is always open to and deeply considerate of feedback related to safety, comfort, and accessibility. Tessa holds a BA in Psychology from The Evergreen State College, where she studied East|West Psychology, Positive Psychology, and Theories of Change. She brings her expertise in these fields to her bodywork via education, focused intention setting, and guided-awareness. Passionate about social justice, mental health awareness, and living in congruence with true self, Tessa embodies & encourages the spirit of total acceptance with her clients.  Her rich history of both lived and academic experience with trauma and PTSD make her a likely match for folks who experience suffering from anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue, chronic pain, and GI complications. Tessa became interested in studying the link between trauma and the body after attending Bessel Van Der Kulk's 28th Annual International Trauma Conference where she learned that trauma is rooted in the body. She is now a licensed massage therapist [LMT] that offers a variety of hands-on therapeutic interventions to address traumas, pain, stress, postural deviations, poor focus, fatigue, grief, panic, and unstable moods.
